My ministry goal is simple: To show people how to make Christ the center of their lives. I have been privileged to minister in several culturally and ethnically diverse congregations. The common denominator among all people is their desire to be loved and to feel important. My leadership style is visionary, while remaining accessible and “family oriented” with those under his leadership. Mediocrity is not a word in my vocabulary. I am self-motivated and as a family, we serve God and the church with 100% of our talents and energy.
My wife, Sarah, and I currently serve as lead pastors of Center Church in Bradenton, Florida. We took over leadership of Center Church in 2014 with just 12 members on our first Sunday. I hold my Bishop's license through the Church of God and humbly serve our state as a member of the Florida Church of God Youth Board. I graduated from Lee University with a bachelors degree in Church Leadership & Administration. We live in Sarasota, Florida with our daughter Riley. Sarah is a Cancer survivor and loves to share her testimony. As a couple, our ability to overcome challenges while allowing the Lord to use us in our community, make us relatable as pastors and leaders.
My Roles & Responsibilities
April 2014 - Present
In April of 2014, Sarah and I ecstatically accepted the role of lead pastors at an existing church. We began our ministry at Center Church with 12 members. Over the last few years, we have seen the ministry increase in both number and in structure. We have been successful in developing from the ground level a thriving children's ministry, sound/media team, worship team, hospitality/ushers and more. Our property and building are debt free and we have hosted several large outreach events for our community.
THE POTTERS HOUSE
Sept. 2010 - Oct. 2013
During our tenure at The Potters House, we saw growth from 80 students to 160 weekly attendance in our youth services. We were responsible for weekly services, big events, group trips and an
internship program. Salvations and
re-commitments within the student body increased and students and families became more involved in the church. We hosted small groups and Bible Studies in our home, attended students sporting events and built a community of strong believers and young leaders.
Jan. 2008 - Sept. 2010
Our time at Lawrence Church of God was an incredible introduction and training ground for ministry. It was our first full-time position and we were blessed to serve under the leadership of an experienced and gracious pastor. We were given the incredible opportunity to learn and make mistakes in all areas of ministry, including: youth, music, associate roles, care pastor roles, finances and more. We built strong relationship with the students and were able to train up leaders underneath our ministry.
I consider myself to be a strong and self-motivated leader. I am passionate about leadership development and reproducing myself in others. I hold high standards for excellence in ministry, and have been described by my mentors as "operating above the level that is traditionally considered acceptable for the platform I've been given."
